Well, Reader, I did it! The Spark officially premiered on Saturday October 10th in the 10pm block. The fact that it was 10-10 at 10 is not lost on me. (If you aren’t familiar with numerology, that’s simultaneous a bunch of ‘1’s, which symbolize new beginnings, ‘111’, an angel number, and a ‘3’, when you add the ones, which is all about creativity. ) This moment was divinely guided every step of the way.I wasn’t as ready for my premiere as I thought - turns out that talking about my former self’s disconnection from s3x and pleasure in front of a live audience of 100+ people is a little bit harder than talking about it 1:1 or in an email or in a pitch video. In hindsight, it makes complete sense, but “you don’t know what you don’t know”. Thank goodness I hadn’t even thought about that because I was nervous enough sitting in a room with that many people wondering if they would laugh, if they would get it, and if they would like it. It turns out, they did (all 3 things). It was a wonderful and affirming experience after 3 ½ years of work.I’ll be a little less nervous the next time and I can start working on how to embody owning my past self, who not only wasn’t comfortable talking about s3x with her partner but also would never have asked for a divorce, written this film, or had some really liberated sensual experiences since. (If you’re curious, I’m teaching a workshop on Embodying Pleasure and Play in November and I’d love your input on what I should cover and when it will be. Fill out the survey here.) The Embodied Way PodcastWe're back this week with a brand new episode featuring my friend and business and filmmaking mentor Izzy Stevens, and this is all about making bold moves and failing often. Our conversation is definitely skewed towards the discussion of filmmaking and acting, but there are definitely lessons here for all creators, so click here to tune in now. Systems and Energy Support for EntrepreneursYou may not know that in addition to my life as an Actor, Writer and an Embodiment Coach, I have spent years supporting entrepreneurs and small business owners in a variety of roles including Operations and Team Manager, Copywriter, Program Director, and Tech Support Specialist. My gift is in looking at the big picture of your business and the pattern of how you show up, helping you see where you are leaking time, energy and money, and then building systems – we’re talking nuts and bolts like SOPs, funnels, email lists and more – and embodiment support to help you get from where you are to where you want to go. If you have a 5-6 figure business looking to scale to 6-7 figures, and are feeling overwhelmed, clarifying your systems and your energy is essential work, which will give you more capacity to serve. I’m currently taking on 2 new clients who want to combine systems support with 1:1 Embodiment Coaching support over the next 3-6 months. If this sounds like something up your alley, I’d love to invite you to book a 90 minute Systems and Energy Audit with me at my introductory rate of $222. You’ll receive a detailed questionnaire prior to our session so we can make the most of our time together, and leave with at least 1 action step to upgrade or streamline your systems and 1 Embodiment practice for your life to support you in moving forward. This is the best way to find out if a Systems and Energy Support Package is a good fit for you and your business long-term. Have a wonderful weekend! Hi Reader, If there is one thing I’ve learned from my 6 years as an Embodiment Coach, it’s that momentum and success tend to feel a little elusive. When things are working, they are really working and we often don’t have the first idea how we got there. And when things aren’t working, we just seem to feel more stuck, no matter what we may try to do in order to change our circumstances. And so what do we do? We try harder, exhaust ourselves, and beat ourselves up for not doing enough, all at...
Hi Reader! This Sunday as my family was wrapping up our weekly Zoom call, my Dad asked me about the “rejection” I received that I had referred to on my social media. So I went on to tell him that I got my first film festival rejection … and while it wasn’t completely a surprise, it did hit me a lot harder than I thought. It actually took me a good 3-4 days to fully process the sadness. If you are curious about my process, you can read more about it on Substack here. After I shared this, I...
